
Starch (녹말) is used to thicken dishes and for deep frying. There are different types such as potato, sweet potato and corn. Some dishes you can make with potato starch are potato dumpling (감자옹심이), and potato rice cake (감자떡). A dish you can make with sweet potato starch is sweet potato jelly (고구마 묵). Glass/Cellophane noodles are also made from starch.
