
Summer Japanese Angelica Tree Shoots is a variation of Japanese Angelica Tree Shoots (두릅). It has thinner stalks, and less prep. is needed before being eaten. It has a mildly bitter flavor and tender texture. It is eaten cooked.
It can be used blanched and served with 초장 and eaten along with meat, made into pancakes, soy pickled, sliced into 1-inch pieces and wrapped in thinly sliced pork belly and grilled, deep-fried, added to soup (된장국), or seasoned as a fresh side dish (무침).
