Canned spam is a type of processed meat made mostly out of pork shoulder but it does contain other parts of the pig as well. It has a creamy texture. There are different varieties that have less salt which can be a great option for those who need it. Canned spam can be stir-fried for side dishes and or used as proteins in soup or fried rice.
To keep your opened can of spam fresher longer, wrap the piece of spam in plastic wrap and then store it in an airtight container in the fridge. Make sure to use your spam within a few days. You can also cut it into portion sizes and store them the same way in the freezer.
