When making fried rice, you can use a wok or a non-stick pan to stir fry your fried rice. A wok is a better choice to use because it evenly distributes the heat on the surface and allows you to toss the rice with the other ingredients easier.
You also need a spoon, ladle, or metal measuring cup to smash down the rice and combine it with the ingredients in the pan. This method makes it easier for the rice to separate and combine with the other ingredients. Keep in mind that you will want to break up the rice as much as possible before you add it to the wok anyway.
Finally, you will need a wok spatula or some kind of longer wooden spoon to mix the ingredients quickly as they stir fry. There is a traditional stir-frying tool called “까오기” that is used for stir-frying but since we are cooking at home, you can use a long wooden spoon or wok spatula if you do not have that specific tool.
