This type of rice has a unique harvest and processing method. Rice that is not completely ripe is harvested, steamed, and dried. This harvest and processing method makes the rice retain more moisture once cooked. When cooked, it has a very plush chewy moist texture and is one of my favorite kinds of rice to eat.
Soaking Time & Prep:
- You do not need to soak this rice before cooking it. Instead, wash it and then cook it right away.
