
Perilla seed powder has a milky nutty unique flavor and smell. Perilla seed powder can be used for soups, side dishes, or added as an additional milky nutty flavor to pancakes. Perilla seed powder can be used as a substitute for salt in seasoned vegetable dishes (나물). When added to soups or stews it can thicken and add slight texture. Perilla seed powder like perilla seed oil should be added at the end of the cooking process.
Store perilla seed powder in the freezer and use it ideally within 6 months.
