
Perilla Seed Oil is a gentle flavored oil with a unique smell. You want to add perilla seed oil at the end of the cooking process as a finishing touch. This is because perilla seed oil has a very low smoke point and so you should never use it to cook at high temperatures.
Perilla seed oil can be used for namul (나물), seafood (it removes fish smell and can make seafood less greasy), soups and more.
Once opened, keep perilla seed oil needs to be refrigerated and ideally used within 6 months. If you leave perilla seed oil at room temp it will go rancid, always refrigerate.
