Korean canned tuna is different from American tuna in the fact that it is sold in larger flakes/chunks. Because of this, this tuna is ideal for soups because it keeps its texture well even when simmered. It can also be used in other dishes, for example, stir-fried dishes.
When you open your tuna, it may be tempting to keep it in the can and throw some plastic wrap on the top but do not do that. If you keep it in the can after opening it can develop a metal flavor. Instead, once opened, drain the liquid from the can and place the tuna into a new container and store it in the fridge.
