
Green onion has a tender green section and a crisp white section. This green onion is more tender then large green onion (대파). It is fresh and crisp with a mild onion flavor.
The green section and white section together can be sliced thinly or into wider angular slices and used as a garnish.
It is used to garnish so many Korean dishes for color and flavor at the end of the cooking or seasoning process. It can also be stir fried to make a flavored oil or be made into kimchi or added to kimchi.
