Many Korean people eat instant ramen and often they add an egg. So, let’s talk about some different ways that this is done. The various ways are not law they are just popular ways that people chose based on their preferences.
- Soft Boiled: Sometimes a pre-cooked egg is added to the ramen. Simmer your egg for 10 minutes. This will make a restaurant-style semi-runny ramen egg. It has a tender yolk and bright orange color. This method is usually used for Japanese-style ramen.
- Poached: To add a “poached style egg” to ramen, first add the noodles to the seasoned water. Once the noodles are done remove them from the water and place them in a bowl on the side. Then stir the broth into a vortex. As the water spins, drop in an egg and let cook for 3 minutes. Then ladle the egg and broth over noodles and eat.
- Whisked: To add whisked egg to your ramen, first season the water with the ramen packet. Then cook the noodles in the water. Then remove the noodles from the broth, add the whisked egg and let cook. Then ladle the egg and broth on top of cooked noodles.
