
This pre-made product is made from Korean radish that was salted and pickled with cape jasmine which gives it a yellow color. This kind of pickled radish is also available without the yellow color, instead it will be plain white in color. The premade versions are available in various sizes and lengths. This pickled radish has a sweet and sour flavor and crisp texture.
It can be added to Gimbap (김밥), sliced and seasoned as a side dish, and or served as a side dish alongside black bean paste noodles (짜장면).
Once you open the packet, the radish will only remain fresh for a few days. To store your opened radish, add some water, vinegar and sugar to a container along with the radish and store in the fridge. Remember to use the radish within a couple days. You can store this radish unopened for up to 3 months (check the freshness label)
