Miyeok/Wakame/Sea mustard is a dried seaweed that is also available fresh. The texture once rehydrated is soft, chewy, and silky. It has nutrients that are beneficial for pregnant, nursing women, or women who had miscarriage. This seaweed is often used in side dishes and seaweed soup.
When prepping dried miyeok, first you need to soak it in cold water. Keep in mind that a little goes a long way and once it is rehydrated you will see that the amount has increased significantly. After soaking the seaweed, cut it with scissors into smaller bite sized pieces for easy eating.
Store your dried seaweed in an airtight bag in a cool, dry, dark place or in the freezer or fridge for up to 6 months.
