Spicy Stir-fried Chicken 닭갈비(Dak-galbi)

Materials

Base Sauce

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Coarse Red Pepper Flakes 굵은고춧가루 (gul-geun-go-chut-kka-ru)
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 3 tbsp Red Pepper Paste 고추장 (go-chu-jang)
  • 2 tbsp White Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 3 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce  진간장/왜간장 (jin-gan-jang/wae-gan-jang)
  • 2 tbsp Mirim 미림 (mi-rim)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Neutral Oil
  • 3 piece Chicken Breast
  • 180 g Rice Cake 가래떡 (ga-rae-ttok)
  • 165 g Sweet Potato
  • 165 g Onion Sweet
  • 192 g Napa Cabbage 배추 (bae-chu)
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Green Onion
  • 1/2 tbsp Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  • Add oil to the pan on medium-high heat.
  • Sear chicken breast in pan until golden brown.
  • Add rice cakes and let cook.
  • Next add the sweet potato and cover the pot with the lid to help steam the potato.
  • Next add the onion and mix.
  • Once cooked, add the cabbage to the pan and put the lid on once again until the cabbage is wilted.
  • At this point, you can add the sauce and mix it into the ingredients.
  • Let this cook for about 10 minutes and then top it with the cheese.
  • Put the lid on again to melt the cheese and then top it with green onion and sesame seeds.
